Where's are the experience bed growers at?

I got a nice reply from Tachigi, and I will be visiting Shady Side this coming week.

However, I received just two replies on my thread located below. Who's got experience here? Just like Brian Schanding I'm liable to rely on trial and error. Sure I've read lots of artcles but I was hoping to hear some words of wisdom from the BonsaiTalkers out there.
