You guys are right, he did say parts of it are brown. I should have read it more carefully.

If it is brown because the roots are dead, however, it's a good bet that it won't come back. If it was indoors, and started to turn brown, he might be able to revive it if he can get it outside and keep the soil from being too wet. If it's spider mites (which none of us addressed) then he would have to take an entirely different path to revive it.

The best help would be if he came back on to the forum... it looks like he hasn't come back on since posting. We have no idea of the location of the tree, or anything.

Sometimes it is a little defeating, someone posts and then five or six people take the time to answer, over a series of days, and when you look back at the original poster they never came back to answer questions or, possibly, didn't even come back on to read the thread.
