G'day 007...
If those sawflies were invading my JBP, my first "response" would be a stream of clear water.
If "clear water" didn't work, my second "response" would be Carl's Soap Solution, applied according to Carl's directions.
If "Carl's Soap" didn't work, my third "response" would be, find the right POISON...a "cide" that is indicated for use ON JBP infected with SAWFLY, and apply according to instructions on the label.
It's best to avoid the use of "cides" whenever possible...last resort use, only.
It's my learned OPINION that the "first" or "second" "reponse" would do the job...might work for you. Or not.

THE ONLY WAY: Always remember, and don't ever forget, that whatever you read here is not cast in concrete... the intent of any advice is to help. In no way should you feel that I’m saying that my way is the only way…heaven forbid! I've seen far too much of the "my way or the highway" attitude in bonsai as well as in other areas of life.
