Wow, for $45 bucks? Thats a nice JPB. Did they all look that nice? I mean the bark on that is nice and thick, definitely a nice old tree to start working with.

I just did a workshop at Nature's Way in Harrisburg, PA. I will post some pics soon. Trees were 8-9 years old but the bark wasn't as nice as the pics you posted.
