Very nice pot you scored there.
Its such a shame the whole bonsai community (especially Australians) have to loose such a gifted potter. Just last weekend i went to a show just north of Sydney where he set up a store. It was only then that i learned of his retirement, and I'm very disappointed. Fearing it was my last chance to get a Pat Kennedy pot, i bought one. The one i purchased is round, heavily textured with rough cracks and a beautiful sandy colour. I was not at all disappointed in the price either. I'm planing on putting a nice old man banksia (banksia serrata) in there
Peter, have you considered a weeping melaleuca? Some of the species or varieties with purple lacy flowers look amazing, and i can picture one in that pot....
