I have two major problems. i have a trident maple and bloodgood maple that i collected. I root pruned and chopped the top, styled, and planted it in a pot. this is in southern california so it is hot right now the leaves had started wilting and getting brown the BG is crispy on the tips so i decided to defoliate both. this is all with in a week and i need some help on what to do because i am inexperienced with maples. but i have read all the guidelines for what i should on the internet but it doesn't seem to help.
