Let it grow out for the first year!
Hi,
I would just let it grow "wild" in the pot for the first year. With or without both trunks. Then you can see where the strongest growth is and then decide, next year, which one to cut. Often, newly collected trees decide which trunks or branches they want to keep (or shed) which is why collectors often keep extra length on trunks, branches, etc. I have had good luck with honey suckle. Have fun!
P.S. Feed it well after it starts to leaf out.
