I'm probably going to leave a short jin. If I don't like it I may carve down into the area where the knob on the right side is to eliminate that area as well. The knob area from the side view looks like a wart. It's really unattractive. The only reason I haven't removed it is because I still don't know what the role the large root on it is in the overall health of the tree.
