Hello, I asked this one a few days ago, but the thread may have lost interest.
Can a Ginko be trunk chopped?
If so, what are the results?
Does the scarring eventually grow over or will it always be there?
Any further help would be great as I have a great specimen with good taper in the lower 200mm of the trunk, the remaining metre above is ok but I think more and more about the chop. (MWHAHAHAHAAAAAAA)
It is fast approaching winter here too so Ginko lovers from O.S. please be aware that warmer weather and bud burst here is at least 6 months from now.
I will post a photo but right now it is way too cold for me to go outside right now. Laugh if will -0˚C folk but coming from high 30's last month, this is a shock to the system and besides, I just got outta bed.
Thanks in advance.

(photo coming soon)
