Vic,
The weaker limbs aren't being shaded. And I am careful to keep them directed toward full sun. The lower limb on the stronger and taller trunk actually extends from the back to slightly to the side and front of the trunk. It is also the strongest and apparently healthiest of the lower limbs.
I really don't see much of a solution for the lesser trunk and crown but to remove them. To me it is really distracting. I hope to pot it in a slightly larger pot this weekend.
I intend to take some better shots with a better backdrop shortly as well and I will post them. I really believe the tree has a lot of unrealized potential. I'm really focused on health and am not in a hurry to "style" this tree. Whatever I do, I want to be sure about it.
