yeah KcPool is right.......
hes got alot of knowledge on maples!

sydney sun is bad.... in japan thier temperatures hardly reach 30deg apparently
its a native tree in japan so it wont do well here

so unless you might want to protect it with shade cloth or put it in a section of your backyard that makes it receive morning sun till about 11:30am and shade for the rest of the day.


that would work alot better than shade cloth + all day sun.


i personally say, leave the leaves...dont cut them off...let the tree decide
because deciduous trees store thier energy/food for winter dormacy. so it tries to get everything it can till it loses its leaves. some of the burnt leaves may still function.

just relax... there will be new leaves in spring.
