'gentleman'?
Oh well, gonzo apparently is or was angry and he wanted us to know. That's OK, This is the net. In person it would have been much easier. I am used to such things. Never mind, we will have fun at the workshop and learn.
Wasting money because of lack or information about prices? I think the whole workshop is about saving money by not killing or ruining trees. Some of these trees cost several grand or a bit more even. Now I think folks want to know beforehand whether they can handle such a beast in general. Some will come out of the workshop and even plan to purchase a treee. Some may well decide to wait and gain more experience. Too many folks have spent considerable money on such collected material in the past and lost everything. The workshop is there to prevent this, or try to at least.
And most stand in front of these trees which are called 'world class' and have this strange feeling that they are impressive, but one does not quite know what the bonsai will look like. The workshop is also about this issue.
BTW, one can bring own trees to get advice for them as part of the workshop.
Gonzo, I am so grateful that you are giving me this opportunity to expand.
