Thanks All for your virtuals !! They all opened up avenues for me and I surely appreciate them, each with a different approach. I am leaning toward Rene's approach only because that is what I had envisioned at the outset of this styling. OMCs virt is excellent also for the informal upright approach. However, the trunk is a mear 2 in. and I am afraid the ratio of 1:6 could not be realized (being the optimum ratio of the trunk to the total height of the tree). Again thanks for your virtual help and I will study them all winter till I style it in the spring !
