1st post, hi: Dwarf Chinese Dogwood

I'm new to bonsai, this is my first post here, though I've been reading for a few days, and I'm looking foward to being part of the community. I have a few japanese maples and small junipers that make more obvious canidates, but I also picked up a dwarf chinese dogwood with some fairly interesting root structure about a year ago from a local nursery. I was wondering if anyone had had any experience with them, or thought it might or might not be a worthwhile undertaking at all. I currently don't own a digital camera, but perhaps I can borrow one soon and post pictures of what I have to start with. I'm definatly interested in the collecting angle, but I plan on doing some hunting for more advanced stock as soon as I have a few dollars to throw around.
