Ponderosa Bunjin

Hi,
Well another tree worked on with Mike Hagedorn a few weeks ago. This is a Ponderosa Pine that was collected in early 2006 by Andy Smith (www.Goldenarrowbonsai.com) one of the best collectors in North America. The tree is about 21/2 feet tall and was essentially a single branch. The before and after pictures show the results of the first styling , the close up shows the deadwood and sharp turn that drew my eye to this tree sitting on the bench.

Over time the bend bringing the branch back over the top will become more acute, essentially bringing it fully down upon itself.

In three dimensions, (aka in Person) I really like this tree.

John
