Somehow I missed your reply a couple days ago.
Sounds like you have a few choices of areas. I'd keep it below that 50 degrees for sure myself. You want it low enough to keep dormant without freezing it, especially since you just repotted it.
Where it was grown it probably had a mild, short winter. Ours are long, so you'll need to keep it dormant longer. So, I'd watch that 50-60 degree fluctuation.
As for 20 degrees next year, I'd be careful of that with those. IMO.
