"...it says its an organic matter...said to be "freely draining mix but still obtains good moisture"...".
Personally...I'm a believer in the KISS Principle...I use a pure inorganic bonsia soil mix...and very rarely add a little (less than 5  Orchid Mix (fir bark).
That's what works for me...
