I would leave it in the growing container one more year if it were my tree. I would try to restyle the top. I would take a little off the tail, but IMHO the apex is too tall. I would take it down to the bushy level and try to regrow the apex in a shorter style. I feel that the top is competeing for the foilage at the bottom. If you notice the foilsge is larger at the tips of the tail. The foilage pads need to decend in size from larger at the trunk to smaller at the tip. Your are just the opposite. Some people make a special cradle to hold their cascade when they are not displaying them so that the tree will seem to grow more horizontal. Its just fooling the tree.
