If it's done only occasionally--like once every five months or so--that's fine.

Plants do not like to be moved around. They don't have roots for nothing. Moving inside and outside every few days for a couple of weeks or longer, will weaken and/or kill the plant eventually, as it will be constantly trying to adjust itself to each location--and have no success.
