Rock'm:
Please do not rush yourself to post replies…
as hopefully good intended as you may be, it can be ill advice, I am very thankful in your new chosen manner of contact; however; - There is no rule of: “Seen one attic, seen all of them”.
It is a place we have used as a master bedroom for a good time to come, thus never freezing; in my post I have only pointed out: chilly (with a draft).
I believe the humidity to be of little trouble. This segment of the house is well kept moist. I guess I best note down the digital readings of the next few days to come. It might better explain.
It is pretty much the most lit place save for the centre of the court or ground. - “The tree isn’t dormant and… ”: because of being indoors for two days?
Usually the breaking of dormancy should take up to a week and sometimes more depending on the species... and most possibly you have not followed up on Belgian weather before your post...
This plant has been out in the cold for a period well over 2 months for it to have wintered a healthy amount. Even such its need in recovery is the reason the attic was chosen: Beautiful lighting, not warm, not cold; kept moist enough.
And actually sticking to the phrase of the tree “not being dormant”; Aren’t you contradicting your own words of “putting it outside” (You are proposing to put it outside right?)? Or am I missing out on something? Now for FYI to better evaluate;
Here is a comparison of how I can possibly rate my accommodations from most indoors to least: - Most of the house (full protection, moderate sun, no draft, domestic humidity and temp)
- Attic (full protection, all sides full sun (half of it filtered, half of it direct… it’s got a lot of windows), draft, semi mild temp, high humidity)
- Court shed (roof and courtwalls protection, half day full sun, outdoor humidity and temp, outdoor draft)
- Court (court walls protection, all day sun, outdoor humidity, draft, temp)
- Ground (no protection (unless local), full day sun).
Thus there were reasons for the place to be chosen... reasons that it is understandable for you to not have known... best ask next time.
Antonio;
The morning urination is the smelliest due to the whole night of effective digesting… guess that would correctly suit it for being a better candidate… but a hundred odd trees planted?!! How many volunteers would tip in to collect it’s watering every day?
Thank you all for your time, and thank you Rock'm for your more helpful approuch.
