Yes, once I took them off I went Doh, should have kept them as sacrifical branches, the trunks are worse than I thought! I am getting back into bonsai after a large number of years, and finding out how much has chaged and how much I have forgotten! I am not so concerned with this tree, I just need the practice and it was a cheapie that won't matter if it sits for years in a grow box. Don't worry, there will be lots of Doh oops moments, I am so forgetful these days.

I am also trying to get into the habit of documenting, even these ordinary trees as I sometimes don't bother and regret it.
