is this a Boulevard cypress? Or is it someother thyoides, pisifera, obtusa, etc. These can be very nice bonsai, you will need to work diligently to control foliage growth almost year round as it will shade out the interior pretty quickly. So, as long as you know that you can work your way through it and get a nice compact tree with pretty elegant foliage.
