Looking at those endless rows of bonsai stock (all nursery-grown), it looks like the Chinese have so much material that they could supply the whole world with high quality pre-bonsai.
Considering that the Europeans and most countries from Asia can import those with no problem (and at very reasonable cost), we Americans can only wish of having such an endless supply. The interesting thing about seing those trees is that they have a very unique Chinese flavor, that we could never achieve, even after growing bonsai stock for the next 20 years. I would find it very exciting to work on such exotic material, they make one "think outside of the box".
