Grazi!!! Amazing trees! Can't believe how large they are (the last link), but also how creative all the others are in the other links. Talk about breaking rules - and somehow the 'rules' just seem silly. There is a lightness to many of the designs that you don't see very often in more traditional (Japanese?) bonsai, almost a wispiness that makes literati look stiff and (sorry) cookie cutter. Suddenly I want to try to get out of the box of years of rules (even ones we supposedly 'break') and try to ten new directions at once. Am I raving? Maybe, but what a great way to be shaken up!
