from seed to styling...
hello and happy holidays all,
these are two of my in training bonsai that i started from seed four years ago. they are my first attempt at growing a bonsai from seed so i am actually pretty excited to look back at the pictures 4 years ago and today after their first real styling. both are monterey cypress that i collected from santa cruz. please let me know what you think and where the future could take them.
the first was origionaly a group planting but only two survived. the first picture is at a year old. the second picture is at three years old with just pruning and intensive feeding to promote growth and back budding. the last two pictures is this morning before and after styling.
the scond tree is a single tree. the first picture is at one year that i just let free grow. the second picture is also at three years with just intense fertilizing and pruning. the last two are also this morning before and after pruning.
