My name is David Jones, and I live in South Central PA.
I am 32yrs old, and have been into bonsai for 4-5yrs. I have been trying to grow/train/style/properly prune/eg, keep alive my small bonsai collection. I like the Pa cold but my potted trees don't .
I only have one tree that I would say is 100%, which is a mugo pine that took very well to it's "first" styling, and ramification.
All the others are still major works in the process.
I have 15 outside specimens (blackpine, boxwood, maples, mugo's,junipers), all of varying styles. I also have 2 very promising ficus on the window sill inside, and 1 boxwood that I purchased too late in the season in my opinion to put outside. The kingsville is doing well so far
(lots of misting on a cold sill, and finger crossing: )...
I have read my share of bonsai books + magazines, but I am still, and always will be looking for knowledge. I am really ready for this coming spring. I have many projects in mind.
My major project this spring, will be a forest planting on a slab (species yet unknown). I also am ready to explore all the green house's, and nurseries, too find the good stuff before its all been picked threw this spring. Oh yes, and my spelling really stinks too.
Any help from the knowledgable will be highly appreciated as golden. Hope we all can help one another....
