Stratifying Troubles
I am currently trying to propogate:
Punica granatum (Dwarf Pomegranate)
Acer ginnala (Amur Maple)
Samanea saman (Brazilian Rain Tree)
I know, i'm kinda being a little too diverse for my expertise, but these are trees that in life i am in awe of thier beauty (and thier potential ability for bonsai =) ) My problem is...... I've had a really hard time propagating them. The Pomegranate i am stratifying in moss, dry (it was recommended by the person who sold the seeds). The maples i put in moss and wet it, and now both are sitting in the refrigerator waiting(upon the advice of the seller, i did not stratify the rain tree). Is there any input you can give me as to what i'm doing wrong or right? Like i said, i've had a really hard time getting the seeds to grow in the past, so any extra direction would help greatly. =) Thanks!
