Don't know what part of Pa. you're from. If it's south or east of what they call the South Mountain, then limestone is everywhere. North and west of there it's mostly sandstone, shale or even coal slag. If the quarry thing doesn't work, try going to a building supply and get a bag of concrete mix, and sift / wash everything out but the stones. Get a bag of high strength mix, the regular strength just may have river gravel, but the sharp angular cuts of crushed limestone give it more strength.
