Well, nothing as dramatic as Si's lovely drawing, but here is the progress so far, primarily involving the development of ramification and foliage pads. The fall work in November will include reducing the number of buds per branch end are reduced to two and the old needles will be plucked, reducing the visual weight of the foliage. If you look back to the December 2004 styling pitures, the speed of progress is clearly demonstrated. In fact, I'll need to be sure that the needles don't get too short for the height of the tree. (The tree will be rewired and styled in January. John)
