Myself, I'd probably bid about 30 dollars for it. If the pot is truly a tokoname piece (not that I'd doubt our own Al, but I am supposed to be pretending this is an on-line auction from that big auction site, right?), then it's worth that much at the very least, probably more. And I even have a tree that would look good in it. On the other hand, buying a pot based on that tiny photo, and expecting to actually arrive intact and in perfect condition is a questionable proposition. So I wouldn't go much over $30 for that pot in an on-line auction, even though I might pay several times that if I could see it in person.

The tree itself wouldn't be worth much to me. Especially after reading Walter's recent thread!

(And after Al's $8.00 bid for my stock )

---

If I did have the tree, I'd probably lose both the left and center trunks, and then work out a style for that right-most trunk depending on how flexible it is.

Best regards,
Carl / OMC
