I repot my shimpakus the same time I do most of my others, late winter to early spring keeping an eye on the weather for freezes and moving them to an unheated garage until the cold spell moves on. You'll need to detrermine which months those are for your area.

That being said I wouldn't repot now with winter coming to your area. If the trees need it real bad I would just move them to a bigger container without disturbing the roots until the proper time comes.
