bonsai soil
That looks awfully expensive to me... there are several good recipes floating around on this site for making your own. I would think you could make a wash tub full for that price. My late bonsai teacher used to make and sell the soil and he charged $15.00 for a 5 gallon bucket sized portion....and made a profit at it. I don't believe you need a special formula for deciduous trees.... A good bonsai soil is just that. It is a well draining soil with very little (if any) organic material. If you check out this site you will find recipes that you can make yourself.
