It does have a rather pine like shape to it but what the heck.

I think you have been working with too many pine trees

Irene, Ed ....LOL..hey I know...not to many ficus up my way for inspiration. Started this as a noob...what did I know But trying to put a good spin on this didn't Pedro style one of Andy's frees similarly?

The point where the chop was made half way up the trunk is not too subtle

Barry your so right, the problem with not being able to stick it in the ground and let it chunk up. This is a perfect example why putting something in the ground for a year or two can make a drastic difference. In pot culture a few shoots popping just above the cut might of helped ...alas I've been denied. So I have to live with it. I'd sell it before redesigned, it took way to long to develop it being out of zone.

Don't flay yourself mentally when you make a mistake or when something bad happens. Just pick yourself up from the god-awful mess you’ve made, say to yourself "I must make a note not to do that again." and go on to the next step, of the hundred or so that remain.
