Why would I have to boil or cook them them?

I crushed up a 20 ib bag over the last few days. I made me a crusher with 2 peices of pipe. one slids into the other and I hit it with a hammer. But thats alot of beating and alot of dust.

Thanks though I will have to contact Home depot and see.
were the ones you baught small enough to use?
