Way to go Wolfgang, very very NICE!
Now that is the direction I would like to take my bonsai efforts. Collecting mature wild specimens that can attain impressive stature in 5 years, not 50. I have already used up 50 years not doing bonsai. I doubt I'll get another. Does anyone know where I can find more info on doing the kind of thing that Wolfgang has shown us here? I am also curious about how he knows the tree is 200 years old. Growth rings, size, educated guess, what?
