Myrtle

I bought 3 Crape Myrtles this year all together in a 15 gallon pot. They didn't grow for about the first 6 weeks because they were so rootbound. The rootball was like a brick. I used a saw to divide the rootball into 3 sections, then hacked away some more on each of the rootballs. Each tree went from theoretically having a 5 gallon rootball to a rootball a little larger than a soda can. I potted each tree in a miracle gro type potting soil, put them in full sun and gave them plenty of water. Three weeks later and they're all growing like weeds. I did this in August, the hottest time of year here.
