As you may remember, I was moving my little fuschias with me from BC to Nova Scotia along with a bunch of other plants. It worked out pretty well. I watered everything really well before we left, then put everything into clear bags and sealed it. With everything packed into the car just so, taking them out to water along the way was not an option. And although I did find that even my fuschias were not happy about the excessive moisture in the air, they did survive.

My little fuschias right now are growing in Tim Horton coffee cups (I know, I know, those are not suitable for thickening trunks) as when we arrived, it was imperative that I get them out of the bags and I just never could remember to pick up pots anywhere. We only had a million things to remember and to arrange and well that is my excuse. But for right now they are happy with a bit more leg room and in the spring, I think that things will slow down a bit and then I can begin thinking seriously about what I want to do with these little fellows. Besides they've already been so totally stressed this season and I think that is all they can take.

So we shall see what next year will bring. But the woods behind my place have all kinds of tiny trees that maybe will provide some interesting possibilities for mame bonsai! If only I could find the time to hunt for them.
