cut paste substitute
You can use carpenter's glue too. I used white glue for many years and it works. You can find a carpenter's glue like Titebond II that is water proof after it dries. Any hardware store will sell it. My late bonsai teacher used to get large syringes with no needles and fill them with the glue. He would make a little stopper (out of a similar sized copper wire) to put in the nozzle of the syringe to keep the air out when not in use. When I run out of regular cut paste I still use the glue.
