Just wondering, do Forsythia bloom only on the previous year's growth. I have a big bush growing in my yard that my wife dramatically trims every summer, then come spring we have very few flowers. If that is the case, when do you stop pruning to allow blooms in the spring? The reason I ask is because I'm thinking of digging it up since it causes my wife so much misery
