I'm in Brisbane and up here we had a very late start to winter when the night time temps "plumeted" to around 6c for a couple of weeks. Right now we're hovering around 10c at night with daytime temps at around 25 to 28c.
Most of the elms and celtis retained their leaves this year and are now breaking bud again after a very brief rest, particularly the celtis. Buds on the crabapple are literally quivering with the intention of breaking very soon.
Bring it on!!
