I have it in a relatively shady spot, only a few hours of sun hit it each day, and even then it's under 50% shade cloth. Although, it does get a fair amount of wind going through it's area. I think I'll put up a wind-block this weekend. And yeah, I think I'll stay away from defoliating it.
