My plans for it are to get the trunk shape/movement first, then worry about styling the crown. Its going to be literati so I'm not worried about the foliage. I'm surprised that these don't backbud. I've only one other virg. pine but it seems to backbud a pretty good bit though it is pretty young.

Anybody have any ideas on getting the bends that this one needs in the lowest part of the trunk. Wire, even a wire-raffia-wire sammich ain't going to do what I think needs to be done, so I'm open to suggestions.
