Hello everyone.
About 2 weeks ago, I collected two nice looking rosemary bushed from the ground. It was a tough colelction as the ground was hard as rock - I had to pour gallons of water around the plants to get a shovel more than 2 inches into the ground. Once I was able to, though, things went very smoothly, with only a little bit of disturbing of the rootballs.
My reason for posting is this: one of the plants seems to be losing a lot of the leaves - they are turning yellow and sort of dry, and falling off in scary amounts. If I run my fingers along a branch, it takes a lot of these dry leaves with it. I did this and took a picture of how much came off.
Don't get me wrong - there is still a good amount of leaves on the plant. But if this continues, I am not sure how long that will remain true.
The other plant, although it seems a bit more juvineile with quite a bit less overall greenery, has hardly a trace of this behaviour.
I have been keeping both pretty dry as I have read that Rosemary does not like a lot of moisture.
Any advice out there?
Here are the pictures.
