This may sound mean, but why in the world would you buy a tree when you dont even know what it is? I admire your interest in bonsai and trees as well, but certain trees have certain needs, and how would you have known them if you wouldn't have found this forum?

It's like buying a car and not knowing what its called or what kind, you just dont do that. Ask as many questions as possible about a tree before you buy it, the first and foremost question should be what kind of tree it is, the second should be is it deciduous, evergreen, or tropical, and the third should be what are its needs.

That is all I have to say. You wouldn't buy anything else without knowing what it was, why would you just go blindly into buying a tree?
