Hello all.
Mike here.
I'm 39, almost 1/2 way to 80!
Live in middle TN. (no, we're not all rednecks!)
My wife thinks I'm obsessed with bonsai and I guess I am.
I'm a sales rep, and gone for days at a time, so watering my trees can be a bit of a challenge. Will attempt some sort of automatic watering system this spring.
Only been doing bonsai for 2 years, seriously for 1 year. Learning more and more each day. I find this forum to be loaded with valuable information, so much so that it has been a bad influence on my work habits. While at home taking "office days" I find myself browsing here more than working. I've checked out some other forums but this one has no rival in my opinion. Matt has done quite a job. The people are very knowledgable and the "cast of characters" are great.
I haven't posted much, as I feel a bit inferior in terms of horticultural know how, but I'm slowly becoming more comfortable.
In bonsai pots I have a Juniper (nana), Trident Maple, Chinese Elm, Fukien Tea, and an ailing Brush Cherry. In training are 4 Japanese Maples, 3 Azaleas, 2 Bouganvilleas, Kingsville Boxwood and a few other various Junipers.
I'm hoping Santa brings me a digital camera for Christmas because I've got several projects I need opinions on.
Thank you all. I've learned more here than all my books combined!

Mike

ps. OMC, you crack me up!
