I did receive the lovely ficus on Friday. I, being the impatient type, immediately lifted it out of its growing container and placed it in a big ceramic training pot (a 26" pot) that is about 2 inches deep. Treating it like a Japanese maple and working the root mass to stay shallow and flare.

I will let it rest and run for a while. As it is a tropical, and a relatively new experience for me, as I am used to working on those overpriced Pines and Junipers ;-}, it will take me a while to get used to it.

Those of you who didn't particiapte in the auction, I got way too much tree for the price I paid, Andy was more than generous with this one.
