bwaynef, Ponderosa are very flexible. Hence the drastic curlicues. The down side is ... they also spring back when preloaded like that. #6 copper alone won't hold it in place. Guy wires were contemplated but there wasn't enough anchor points to pull it off. So I decides on a brace instead. Hopefully after a year, I can revert back to guy wire instead. Then wait till the next millennium for it to take a set.

Yes, it does. Remember this was an initial styling. A exercise in obtaining a basic shape, conceptualizing an image from raw material. It will take about 5 years for this little guy to take a set. So there is plenty of time for further refinement.
