G'day lillilland

I'm not one to quarrel with Colin Lewis...he's one of my favorites.

So, please understand that the following are MMYY thoughts, opinions, beliefs, what have you...right or wrong.

On the subject of fungicides...

However, I'm of the school that believes that you should NEVER use a pesticide, fungicide, etc., unless you have conclusively IDed a problem that calls for the use of a specific "cide".

Besides, fungicides are dangerous and toxic.

The best "preventative" is to keep your work area, your display area, your tools, and yoursoil "clean".

This is what works for me.

I haven't used a "cide" of any kind in over 10 years. Also, I don't have a "cide" of any kind among by bonsai supplies...

Like I said, these are MMYY thoughts, opinions, beliefs, what have you...right or wrong. And, this is what works for me.

THE ONLY WAY: Always remember, and don't ever forget, that whatever you read here is not cast in concrete... the intent of any advice is to help. In no way should you feel that I’m saying that my way is the only way…heaven forbid! I've seen far too much of the "my way or the highway" attitude in bonsai as well as in other areas of life.
