The one I like for DESIGN is Basic Bonsai Design by David De Groot. Never met the man, but the book is great...he is the curator of the Weyerhaeuer Company's Pacific Rim Bonsai Collection in Washington (state).

Thanks! Although, I can't find that book on Amazon or Ebay, so I have a feeling it's going to be hard to get my hands on if it isn't in either of those two places!
I do like Brent's rules, they are super helpful, but I would love to see the rules in "action" as it were. Pictures are worth a thousand words, etc. And I just like looking at pretty trees
I added "Bonsai School" and "Bonsai Handbook" to my wishlist
I can't wait for the other Craig Cousins book I just got to come in.
