Ive had this Cotoneaster franchetii in training for a few years now and after just letting it grow it was time to do a chop and get some taper.
Following advice over on the IBC I waited until an adventitous bud sprouted (it wasnt there last year)then cut back to that.

(The white stuff is bird poo!)
